Originating in Rowley, MA. at the dawn of 2002, Joppa Flatts, like our Planet Earth
as we know it, was formed from a series of serendipitous upheavals, which in
the case of Joppa Flatts, happened on the North Shore of Boston.
The core of the band was formed from long time friends Pete (bass, vocals) and Chris (lead guitar))
who met during the high tech boom in Andover, MA. where they worked as engineers. They wasted no time forming a small band and eventually played a corporate party at the Roxy dance club. After the pair separated in '99 to work on, and start other musical
projects they reunited in the winter of '02 to start a new band.
Since the early days, a new drummer (Neil), female vocalist (Liz), guitarist/vocalist (Pat) and keyboardist (Russ) have joined to
put the finishing touches on what is now Joppa Flatts.
Joppa Flatts plays a wide variety of blues, rock and pop favorites.
These days Joppa Flatts can be seen playing live at some of the premier venues on the North Shore including:

- Ipswich Bay Bar and Grille in Ipswich, MA
- Ipswich Bay Yacht Club in Ipswich, MA

- Topsfield Fair in Topsfield, MA
- Shark in the Park in Dover, NH
- Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth, NH
- Yankee Homecoming in Newburyport, MA
- Meeting House Park in Newmarket, NH
